We have planned the itinerary a manner so as to make the most of whatever time you spend there. So although you can fly from KL to Langkawi, we usually recommend the luxury coach drive upto Penang and then a 2 ½ hour ferry to take you the Langkawi island.  The drive and the ferry are scenic and give you the real taste of Malaysia which is often missed on a flight.
